This drawing of Tubac's original Church was made in 1858 by Phocion Way, a major stockholder in Poston/s mining enterprise. It shows the ruins of the Santa Gertrudis Church built by Juan Bautista de Anza in the 1760s when he commanded the Presidio. Today St. Ann's Church sits on the same site.
