Scotland Calligraphy with Highlands Mountains Mug
A beautiful calligraphy of the word Scotland using the Insular half-Uncial script used in the very early medieval period. Examples of this script are found in the Book of Kells and the Lindisfarne Gospels. The word Scotland here has small Saltires in the round spaces. The Saltire is the Scottish Flag. The photo is of Loch Leven in the Scottish Highlands, taken from a mountain near the town of Kinlochleven. Calligraphy and photo both by Letizia Morley.
