Scotland Castle Campbell Clan Snow Xmas Ceramic Ornament

The Scottish Campbell Clan is associated with more than one castle in its native Scotland. This ornament features Castle Campbell, a well-preserved tower castle located near the town of Dollar in Clackmannanshire. Castle Campbell is normally shot from another angle. This rare photo taken by Alistair Young in 2005 offers a breath-taking view down Dollar Glen from its high perch in the wild Highlands of central Scotland. Castle Campbell dates from the 1300s, and the clan associated with it is slightly older as the first surviving record of a "Cambel" is 1263, a landowner of property near Stirling. The back of this ornament features the Campbell tartan and a few lines of clan and castle history.
