Scottish Clan Boyle Tartan & Kelburn Castle Ceramic Ornament

Perfect Christmas holiday gifts for members of Scotland's Clan Boyle, this tartan-backed, double sided Christmas tree ornament displays the castle associated with the family history. Kelburn Castle, in North Ayrshire, Scotland, is the home of the clan's chief, the Earl of Glasgow, and dates from the 12th century when the Scots and Norsemen were at war. The brilliantly colored photo is the current look, a traditional tower shape, but covered with bright graffiti. Around the turn of the millennium, the Earl was looking for ways to rennovate the outer concrete layer which was crumbling. He invited Brazilian street artists, who collaborated with Scottish talent for this unique art on the castle's south side, that is now considered permanent.
