Scottish Lindsay's Edzell Castle Photo Watch

Enjoy a keepsake reminder of your ancient Lindsay Scottish heritage always at hand. Edzell Castle is a historic seat of the Lowland Clan Lindsay and the Earls of Crawford. Construction on the castle, located north of Brechin, in Angus, Scotland, began about 1520 under the direction of David Lindsay, 9th Earl of Crawford. His son, Sir David Lindsay, Lord Edzell, expanded the castle and laid out the garden in 1604. The walled Renaissance garden, incorporates intricate relief carvings and is unique in Scotland. Edzell Castle is currently a visitor attraction run by Historic Scotland and is open to the public all year with an entrance charge.
