The original pattern on this Bone China Mug was made from an original photograph by HomeWare of sea shells. It is a photo of several shells in bright sunlight and shadow. The sea shells are conch and other varieties, mostly white and cream colored, but one with a light salmon color on the interior of the shell, and one with black and white stripes. There are many intricate, curving shapes in the design made from the sea shell photo. The overall tone of the pattern is shades of warm gray and white, with a dash of pale salmon pink.

I absolutely love the colors and graphics of this mug. I was a bit disappointed in the size, but I think it may have been my lack of attention to detail.
