About The Design Contest

Zazzle hosted a design contest in partnership with Sesame Street, giving you a chance to have fun drawing your favorite Sesame Street characters and win cash prizes. We were searching for content that incorporated creativity, originality, visual appeal, and trendiness. Winners were selected based on the following criteria: originality, creativity, visual appeal, trendiness. The contest submission period ran from 12:00 AM PT on October 30th, 2023 and ended at 11:59 PM PT on November 20th, 2023. Click here to view the rules.

Two Grand Prize Winners - one for celebrating life’s moments and one for general art. Each will receive a cash prize of $1,000, as well as the opportunity to earn 5% of the net sales of any products* featuring their artwork, subject to terms and conditions**.

Judge’s Picks - Additional submissions may be chosen for the opportunity to earn 5% of nets sales of the products* featuring their artwork, subject to terms and conditions**.

ZAZZLE SESAME STREET DESIGN CONTEST TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Entry Method and Grant of License. To submit, upload a design that you own or have the license rights to here for one of the artwork design categories below:

Artwork Categories:

• General character art
• Character art celebrating one of life’s moments (birthdays, baby showers, etc.)
• Coloring book art from here colored by crayon, pencil, pen, or even digitally by a child age 6 and under (submitted by an adult 18+); please refrain from including any personal information in your submission.

Artwork must be submitted in one of the formats as outlined below:

For original character art :

• Ai (Adobe Illustrator) file is preferred. For PNG or JPG files: 20” x 24” or similar @300 ppi. At a minimum 10” x 12” or similar dimensions.
• If submitting a product link, make sure the product is in direct-only mode.

For coloring book page scans:

• PNG or JPG @300 ppi or higher (at least 3,200 x 2,400 pixels)

By uploading the design, you grant Zazzle the rights to use such design at www.zazzle.com.

2. Date. The Sesame Street Design Contest will run from October 30, 2023 at 12:00 AM PST until November 20, 2023 11:59 PM PST ("Contest Period"). In Zazzle’s sole discretion, the Content Period may be extended for additional periods.

3. Prizes. The following prizes will be awarded to the participant who submitted the artwork provided that Zazzle reserves the right not to award a Prize if no Entry satisfactorily meets the Winner Selection criteria.

4. Rules. All submissions must comply with the following guidelines.

• No text or images that may be considered offensive, controversial to others in any manner or violate the integrity and reputation of Sesame Street.
• Do not replace “Sesame Street” text in the Sesame Street sign.
• No use of “Sesame Place” as text.
• No use of Kermit the Frog or other non Sesame Street characters.
• No inclusion of an artist’s signature or URL (i.e., website address) on the art.
• Do not include any personal information about anyone under 18 years old in conjunction with your submission.
• No AI generated artwork (artificial intelligence).

5. Eligibility. You must upload a design that you own or have the license rights to submit to Zazzle. Any individual has the ability to win more than once. You must be at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry to be eligible to win or have your parent or legal guardian submit on your behalf. Employees, officers and directors of Zazzle Inc., its parent, subsidiary, and agent entities, as well as the immediate family (defined as parents, spouses, children, siblings and grandparents) and household members of each such employee, officer and director are not eligible. By participating, entrant agrees to abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of Zazzle Inc., which are final and binding in all respects. This contest is void in jurisdictions where prohibited by law. Entrants are not permitted from the following countries: Bolivia, Brazil, Dominican Republic, Egypt, Italy, Malta, Mexico, Paraguay, Quebec, and Venezuela.

6. Verification. All potential winners are subject to verification by Zazzle Inc., whose decisions are final and binding in all matters related to the contest. An entrant is not a winner of any prize, unless and until entrant's eligibility has been verified by Zazzle Inc.

7. Winner Selection and Notification. The Company shall appoint a judge or a panel of judges comprised of employees or external judges. Winners will be selected based on the following criteria: originality, creativity, visual appeal, and trendiness.

Winners will be notified if they won via the email account from where the Entry was submitted. Winners must claim their prize within 30 days; otherwise, the Prize will be voided. Winners agree to assign all their rights, title and interest in the design to www.zazzle.com

8. Winners are solely responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes and other fees associated with prize receipt and use, as well as any costs or expenses associated with currency conversion. Winners will be required to provide applicable tax information to Zazzle prior to payment. No substitution (including for cash where applicable), assignment or transfer of prizes is permitted, except by Zazzle Inc. who reserves the right to substitute a prize with another prize of greater or equal value if the prize cannot be awarded as stated. Zazzle Inc. will withhold and/or report taxes as required by applicable law.

9. Publicity. Except where prohibited, participation in the Contest constitutes winner's consent to Zazzle Inc.'s use of winner's name, likeness, voice, image, opinions, hometown, state/province and country for promotional purposes in any media or channel without further payment or consideration.

10. General Conditions. Zazzle Inc. reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, modify or suspend the Contest should viruses, bugs, unauthorized human intervention, technical failures or any other factor beyond Zazzle Inc.'s reasonable control corrupt the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper operation of the Contest. In such an event, Zazzle Inc. reserves the right to award the prize from among the eligible entries received up to the time of impairment. Zazzle Inc. reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or any other Contest or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person to deliberately damage Zazzle Inc.’s web site or undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest may be a violation of criminal and civil laws, and, should such an attempt be made, Zazzle Inc. reserve the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Zazzle Inc.'s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. Before being declared a Canadian winner, the answer to the skill-testing question must be verified. Meta Platforms, Inc. is not a sponsor of this Sweepstakes. For the avoidance of doubt, any information provided hereunder is provided to Zazzle Inc. and not Meta Platforms, Inc.

11. Release. By accepting any Contest prize, winner agrees that Zazzle Inc., and its parents, subsidiaries and affiliated companies, and the agents, employees, directors and officers of these companies, are not liable whatsoever for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize, or travel to or from or related to any prize or prize-related activity, or from winner's participation in the Contest.

12. Limitations of Liability. Zazzle Inc. is not responsible for: (1) incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information or late, lost, stolen, illegible, incomplete, misdirected or postage due entries or entries received through impermissible or illegitimate channels, all of which will be disqualified; (2) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to the malfunctioning of any telephone, computer, network, hardware or software, or the Instagram, TikTok, or Facebook service, as applicable; (3) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any Web site or service; (4) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Contest; (5) electronic or human error which may occur in the administration of the Contest or the processing of entries; or (6) any injury or damage to persons or property, including but not limited to entrant's computer, which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant's participation in the Promotion or from downloading any material from Zazzle Inc.'s Web site(s), regardless of whether the material was prepared by Zazzle Inc., a third party, and regardless of whether the material is connected to Zazzle Inc.'s Web site by a hypertext link.

13. Disputes. Entrant agrees that: (1) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest, or any prizes awarded, other than the administration of the Contest or the determination of winners shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; (2) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out of pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Contest but in no event attorneys' fees; and (3) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation or exclusion of liability for incidental or consequential damages, so the above may not apply to you. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of entrant, Zazzle Inc. in connection with the Contest shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of California, U.S.A., without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules of provisions. Exclusive venue for any claim hereunder shall be the state courts in the County of San Mateo, California and the federal courts in the County of Santa Clara, California. All federal, state, provincial and local laws apply.
