Shiny Tuba Slanted Perspective Brass Band Poker Cards

A colorful shiny brass tuba, photo taken in slanted perspective so the instrument is straight & the band slanted. You can see some reflections in the bell of the tuba. This is a Portuguese marching band from Montreal, Canada, who came to take part in a church procession in Hull (Gatineau) Quebec. These guys were great! I love brass instruments and one of my favorites is the tuba. They also had a solid percussion section. The bass tuba was invented by two Prussians (in what is now northern Germany) in 1835; three years later, the son of one of the makers created the tenor tuba. As we know, the tuba is a big part of German celebrations especially Oktoberfest! In all it's a much loved instrument the world over.
