In 1933, Nobel Laureate Frits Zernike published a set of orthogonal polynomials designed to span the unit disc for the purpose of describing the aberrations of a circular mirror. Today these same polynomials are used to codify the imperfections in optical systems such as telescopes. Ophthalmologists and optometrists use them in wavefront guided vision correction. This shirt shows images sequences only for those who prefer a cleaner look.

The shirt is good quality and fits just fine, but the colors of the printing are not as bright as in the sample photo. Not the best. The colors are a lot brighter in the sample photo; when I received the shirt they appeared faded. The red looks a little more pink and the blue is a lot lighter. N.B. I did not wash the shirt yet.
