SILVER LIBERTY COIN----THIS IS A LIKENESS OF A COIN , NOT A REAL COIN---Walking Liberty, as the design is known, appeared on the US 50-cent piece from 1916 to 1947, eventually replaced for a short period by the effigy of Benjamin Franklin. The Walking Liberty design is considered one of Americas greatest coin designs of all time, just behind Lady Liberty from Augustus Saint-Gaudens.
