SJPD In Memory of K9 Max T-Shirt
Members of the St. Joseph Police Department are mourning the loss of one of their K-9 officers, Max, who was shot and killed in the line of duty on June 30, 2021. Members of the special response team along with other officers and K-9 Max responded to a residence in reference to serving an arrest warrant on an armed and barricaded subject. During the course of trying to negotiate the subject out of the house, he fled armed. Shortly thereafter, the suspect fired at K-9 Max, striking him. The subject was then taken into custody. Unfortunately, K-9 Max was rushed for medical treatment, but succumbed to his wound. Max performed his duties heroically and protected the lives of others on scene. Max was a German Shepherd from Slovakia born on Sept. 9, 2017. Max moved to the U.S. in 2018 and joined the St. Joseph Police Department in February 2019 where he was partnered with Officer Lucas Winder. Max was described as a “happy-go-lucky dog with a bark that makes you not want to ask about his bite.” This design was created to honor Max's memory and his sacrifice for the St. Joseph, MO Police Department and the city of St. Joseph, MO.

My 11 yo wore adult XL (5’7” 165#). The 8yo is small framed. She wore adult small and tied it in the back. Dark haired male wore adult large and 5’9”, 110# female wore adult medium . Good quality dark Heather gray, Gildan brand shirt. -it was next up from basic choice and cost about $20 per shirt. Not too thick or thin. Washed and dried well, no major shrinkage. Not see-through. Can wear a bra under it fine. Screen print is just as shown and well done, front and back.
