Snake's eye T-Shirt

The name 'Janome' is derived from the pattern resembling a snake's eye, but its original form is a 'Tsurumaki' (a coil for storing extra bowstrings) that samurai used in battle. After donning armor, it is attached to the left waist, hung from the waist strap of the 'Ebira' (quiver). (According to 'Kamon no Jiten' by Takasawa et al.) / Tsurumaki is a leather or wicker bow accessory used to wind the bowstring, worn at the waist by armored warriors, resembling a snake's eye.
