Style: Morphing Mug

It looks like a plain black or blue mug, but add some coffee and – magic – your funny design, cool pattern, or special photo is revealed. This mug turns heads. It is made with a special, heat-sensitive coating, so, when any hot liquid is added, it changes color to reveal your design against a bright, white background. It may seem simple, but, trust us, a morphing mug never fails to surprise and delight.

Sons of Liberty Rebel Stripes Mug
The original flag of the Sons of Liberty was probably the first version of the American flag to bear red and white stripes. It was during their protest against tyranny that the decision was made to use stripes, and it was this design that the British soon referred to as “rebel stripes”. But when the Sons of Liberty adopted the flag called the "rebellious stripes flag" with nine uneven vertical stripes (five red and four white) it likely wasn't a polished, neatly sewn banner. More likely, the raucous rebels splattered red paint on sheets, and even on their own clothes. It is supposed that nine stripes represented the number of colonies that were to attend the Stamp Act Congress, but whatever it originally meant to the Liberty Boys and others, it's ended up as a quintessential symbol of resistance in that name of liberty since.
