Sovereign Hill 2

Sovereign Hill 2 was painted as a pen and wash using watercolours and ink in 2008. It is the original Art work of Sketchart26. It was painted from a reference photo I had taken on a family day out. When painting Sovereign Hill I first lightly sketch in the picture and then painted it in watercolours and after added the ink. Sovereign Hill 2 is an open air museum located in Ballarat, Victoria, Australia. The museum depicts the first ten years after gold was discovered in Ballarat in 1851. Sovereign Hill is located on 25 hectares’ and is linked to the richest alluvial gold rush in the world. The design features some of the 60 historically recreated buildings with people walking about learning about the early days. It is now featured on products under the categories of Apparel, Accessories, For The Office, For The Home and Unique Gifts Products.
