SPIRIT BEAR T-Shirt

Spirit Bears as they are known by First Nations people of northern British Columbia in Canada, are a rare form of Black Bear. They are not albinos but a beautiful mutation of the Black Bear gene. The phenomenon occurs in very select areas of British Columbia and then only in 10% of the Black Bears in these regions. They are also known as Kermode or Kermodei Bears. They are believed to be sacred and are a protected species. Rare and precious, these Bears are a joy to see in the wild. 30% of proceeds from the sale of this item directly benefits the great folks and the animals that they care for, at the Prince Rupert Wildlife Rehab Shelter in northern BC.
