Spring Roundelay (by Edward Atkinson Hornel) Jigsaw Puzzle

This design features a painting by the Scottish artist Edward Atkinson Hornel (1882–1931), who was a member of the Glasgow Boys movement of art. It shows a group of girls performing a traditional country dance called a roundelay together after they have been collecting flowers from the beautiful plants that are growing in the natural rural landscape that surrounds them. The girls are wearing rustic dresses and they are all smiling brightly and happily. It is a beautiful sunlight day in the season of spring when all the flowers are blooming with bright color. The trees behind them are overflowing with pink cherry blossom. All of the girls are barefoot as they walk and play and dance on the grass together. They are having great fun. The original artwork was painted by Edward Atkinson Hornel in 1910.
