St. Cecilia of Rome (Quote; SNV 36) Scented Candle
A thoughtful gift for your Minister of Music, Choir Director, or Chuch Organisrct! Text and text block on the back can be replaced with one of your own choosing, another Biblical verse, a message to your choir director, or even a picture of your church choir! + Front: In this splendid image, St. Cecilia (3rd century) is seated at a pipe organ; an angel, serving as calcant, works its bellows. A scroll in Latin between the two figures reads: “+Cantate Domino et benedicite nomini ejus” which translates “+Sing to the Lord and bless His name (Psalm 95:2)”. Back: This panel, a detail of the lower portion of the image on the front, is full of Christian symbolism. The Chi Rho and the Alpha and Omega are, besides the cross and fish, two of the oldest Christian symbols. The Chi Rho, also known as the chrismon or sigla, is formed by the superimposition of the first two capital letters of the Greek word ΧΡΙΣΤΟΣ (Christos), the center of the chi (Χ) being intersected by the vertical stroke of the rho (Ρ). The additional letters, the Alpha (Α) and Omega (Ω, lowercase: ω), the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet, which flank the chrismon, symbolize the eternal existence of Jesus and of God. In Revelations, Christ is quoted as saying: “I am the alpha and the omega; the beginning and the end" (Revelation 21:6, 22:13 - Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition [DRA]). Furthermore, here the Chi Rho / Alpha Omega medallion is flanked by doves perched upon or rather holding olive branches in their claws. The use of a dove and olive branch as a symbol of inner- and later of civil- and world peace originated among the early Christians. It harkens back to the Old Testament story of Noah and the ark (Genesis 8:11 Douay-Rheims [DRA]). The quote beneath the image is the English version of the Biblical verse cited on the front. + Image Credit (SNV 36): Antique image of St. Cecilia of Rome from a late nineteenth-century devotional print, artwork by J. Klein, chromoxylography by H[einrich] Knoefler (1824-1886), published by St. Norbert Book- and Art Printing, Vienna, Austria. From the designer’s private collection of religious ephemera. + Feast: November 22

This turned out so cute! I personalized it with our little league name and included it in a "baseball mom" themed fundraiser basket. The printing was perfect and the candle smells really good. .

Custom Scented Candle, Peony
Creator Review
Bought this peony designed and scented soy candle for my MIL and she liked the peony floral print but refused to light it because she thought she would regift it. I told her that it was made in USA and was a soy candle with no chemicals. She lit the candle and told me that the fragrance was delightful. She also said it did not make her sneeze. I attribute that to the candle being "natural" and not chemical . I am very satisfied with my purchase and that fact that my MIL liked it speaks volumes. .
