St. Hildegard was born in 1098. She became a Benedictine Abbess and active as a writer, composer, philosopher, mystic, visionary, and as a medical writer and practitioner during the High Middle Ages. Her works include three volumes of visionary theology; a variety of musical compositions, etc. She was given the title of Doctor of the Church because of her contributions to Theology.
