St. Joan of Arc, the “Maid of Orleans”, is patron saint of women who serve in the military. In this depiction, her military career is emphasized. St. Joan is clad in contemporary 15th-century plate armor and shoulders a sword in a scabbard ornamented with fleur di lis. The fleur di lis, a stylized lily, is a motif rich in heraldic, political, and religious significance. + Feast: May 30 + Image Credit (JM 28): Antique image of St. Joan of Arc, originally published in chromolithography by Josef Müller Art Publisher, Munich and New York, first quarter of the 20th century, from the designer’s private collection of religious ephemera. This is just one of over sixty images in a very popular style of devotional prints issued in several sizes and formats by Müller at the turn of the last century.

Bought this peony designed and scented soy candle for my MIL and she liked the peony floral print but refused to light it because she thought she would regift it. I told her that it was made in USA and was a soy candle with no chemicals. She lit the candle and told me that the fragrance was delightful. She also said it did not make her sneeze. I attribute that to the candle being "natural" and not chemical . I am very satisfied with my purchase and that fact that my MIL liked it speaks volumes. .
