About This Design

St Louis Gateway Arch Travel Shot Glass

St Louis Gateway Arch Travel Shot Glass

Rising like a gleaming crescent against the skyline of downtown St. Louis, the Gateway Arch soars 630 feet into the Missouri sky—its stainless‑steel skin catching the changing light of dawn and dusk in a million subtle hues. Designed by Eero Saarinen and completed in 1965 as the centerpiece of the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial, the Arch commemorates America’s westward expansion and the pioneers who followed the Missouri River into uncharted territory. From below, its perfect inverted‑catenary curve frames the Mississippi River and the rolling bluffs beyond, creating an enduring visual metaphor for both passage and possibility. On sunny afternoons, its reflective surface seems almost liquid, while under stormy clouds, the steel silhouette takes on a solemn, almost reverent air. Inside, a narrow, tubular tram climbs through the Arch’s hollow legs to a pair of observation capsules perched at the apex. The ride—an ingenious blend of tram and ferris‑wheel mechanics—feels intimate and slightly surreal as you inch upward through the Arch’s steel ribs. At the top, small windows offer a panoramic tableau: ribboned highways crisscross the city grid, riverboats crawl along the mirrored current below, and the endless Midwestern plains stretch toward the horizon. Back on the ground, the Museum at the Gateway Arch traces the story of St. Louis’s role in westward migration, weaving artifacts and interactive exhibits into the broader narrative of American exploration. Whether viewed from the riverfront park or from the gentle rises of nearby Laclede’s Landing, the Arch endures as an icon of aspiration—an elegant monument to the spirit of discovery that shaped the nation.

I love how these turned out using my image and being able to clear the background, leaving only the outline. Great addition to small Christmas gifts for colleagues. The printing is clear and precise.

I customized these shot glasses as a gift to the wedding party attending my sister and her fiancè's upcoming combination Bachelor/Bachelorette party. I haven't given them to the participants yet but I personally love these shot glasses! They're of good quality and although I haven't used them yet, they seem to be quite durable. I love how the quality of the design on the shot glasses turned out! I was originally going to buy the customized shot glasses elsewhere but I'm glad I didn't because these truly exceeded my expectations. The color that I chose even turned out perfectly. I'm just overall very happy with how these turned out.

I ordered these as party favors for a bachelorette party I’m throwing for a friend and they turned out amazing. Can’t wait to give them to the girls. Everything turned out as expected but it’d be awesome if the lips were actual glitter. They’re not supposed to be but glitter lips would be the ultimate icing on the cake.
