St. Veronica of Jerusalem (JM 60) Rack Card

Customize the front for your church, school, or organization and add your text to the blank back of this versatile hand-out. + Prefer a different color on the back? Feel free to choose from among the suggested colors on this image's Color Palette postcard. Color Palette postcards are found in an image's associated COLLECTION and in the Special COLLECTION devoted just to color palettes. + Who was she? The nameless woman healed of a hemorrhage of blood (Luke 8:43–48)? One of the women who followed him during his ministry? Just one of the bystanders? This side of heaven we will never know for sure anything about her. She’s not mentioned by name in any of the four canonical Gospels. Nevertheless, she will forever be remembered by the Sixth Station of the Cross for her simple, spontaneous gesture: She pushed past the crowd and the guards to offer a cloth, probably her veil, to a convicted criminal on the way to his death, death on a cross, that he might wipe his bloody face. Tradition calls her St. Veronica of Jerusalem (1st century); and the man, of course, was Jesus, who miraculously left his likeness on the cloth. Today, St. Veronica—the name given her means “true icon”—is revered as patron saint of photographers, laundry workers, and rectory housekeepers. + Feast: July 12 + Image Credit (JM 60): Antique image of St. Veronica of Jerusalem, originally published in chromolithography by Josef Müller Art Publisher, Munich and New York, first quarter of the 20th century, from the designer’s private collection of religious ephemera. This is just one of over sixty images in a very popular style of devotional prints issued in several sizes and formats by Müller at the turn of the last century.

I chose this design for my Pilates studio price list rack cards and it came out perfect! I love the design and color scheme as well it can be double-sided. The editing feature was so user-friendly and I was able to include all the information I needed on the cards. The image quality and card stock are very elegant and professional. I am very happy how it turned out. This is my second batch of ordering this!

Creator Review
For a charity event, we were looking for an economical way to hand out mini handmade soap samples, and these rack cards won out over other options. The paper stock is perfect -- not too thick, like card stock would be, and not too thin, like many papers would be -- it's just right. We needed ours scored to fold and used the 'wrong' side of a craft knife with a straight edge to do that. We used glue dots to add a bagged soap sample, folded, bagged, and tagged ("inspected by mermaid #5"), and they were a hit! As we had a large order -- 250 pieces -- we didn't want to waste time ordering 1, trying it, and then ordering the larger quantity. So we made a mock-up on our home printer, tested, and went for it in one large order. These looked just as good as the one-off we printed at home on our laser printer! The margin for error on how well the printing matched the on-screen rendition + how the front and back printing aligned was very, very small, and, happily, the printing was PERFECT. It was also bright, clear, and eye catching. We'll be designing more for other product samples. Very pleased!
