Stained glass window by Alphonse Mucha Square Wall Clock

When the Parisian jeweler decides to move his boutique to the luxurious Rue Royale, he calls on Mucha to design all aspects of his shop - both exterior and interior, and the contents including the furniture, light fittings and showcases. The central image of this design is a beautiful woman, part of a stained-glass window series created for the facade of the Fouquet boutique. The shop opened in 1901 and was an immediate success. Alfons Maria Mucha, often known in English and French as Alphonse Mucha, was a celebrated Czech Art Nouveau painter, illustrator, and decorative artist. He created paintings, posters, advertisements, and book illustrations in what was initially termed The Mucha Style but became known as Art Nouveau, French for "new art"
