Star Surfer-Cat Chili Pepper

A picture postcard came today with words that spoke of getaway - to lands and places far away, and fantasies of fun and play. I’ve never been there, I can’t say. From how it looks, I’d like to stay. I’m glad for card and stamp they pay to share with me their holiday. I’ll save my coins and go some day to London, Paris or Bombay— or even to the Milky Way. Then I can send a card their way. The inside panels are left blank for the writer to express themselves personally. Star Surfer Cat Chili Pepper is now out among the planets, stars and nebula experiencing far out adventures. She had too short of a lifetime with me on Earth and was taken by a tragic event. She lived fast and died young. But what a treasure she was to me. My companion. My friend. I miss her still. I always will. She surfs the stars for eternity now. She can speed faster than any space rat can. Faster than light. Faster than sadness.
