State Flag of Kansas Scarf

This design features the flag of Kansas, which is a state in the Midwestern United States. Kansas is bordered by Nebraska to the north, Missouri to the east, Oklahoma to the south and Colorado to the west. Kansas is named after the Kansas River, which in turn was named after the Kansa Native Americans who lived along its banks. The official nickname of Kansas is the "Sunflower State, but it is also known as the "Wheat State", the "Jayhawker State" and the "Free State". The Kansas state flag includes the state seal and a depiction of a sunflower. The flag was first designed in 1927, and this original design was modified in 1961 to add the name of the state at the bottom of the flag. The capital of Kansas is Topeka and its largest city is Wichita.
