Strange heads, with vaguely apprehensive expressions and crazy hairdos, plus fruit, plus what look like early steering wheels. Found in an 1890 German-language book I have, full of color prints of design motifs from many eras and cultures, this print was found on one of the pages on the Italian Renaissance. As you might assume they look strange – and yet AWESOME – on all kinds of EVERYTHING. Note that the image appears on both sides of the bag, in mirror image. Wanna see more old?
