Sumidero Canyon Postcard

Sumidero Canyon is a spectacular natural fissure in the earth's crust, with vertical walls that reach heights of up to 1,000 meters. Located in the state of Chiapas, the Grijalva River flows through the base of the canyon, which is now a protected national park. The canyon was formed around the same time as the Grand Canyon and is home to diverse wildlife, including crocodiles and spider monkeys.
