There are large sunflowers growing in the foreground. The flower head of sunflowers is called an inflorescence, because it is made of hundreds or thousands of tiny flowers called florets. This means that the plant is very easily seen by the insects and birds which pollinate it, and each sunflower produces thousands of seeds.
