National flag of Taiwan (RoC) The Taiwanese flag is red in colour with a blue area in the top left which contains a white sun with 12 rays. In Chinese is is often described as “Blue Sky, White Sun, and a Wholly Red Earth”. It was adopted in 1928, and has a 2:3 ratio.
