Tamales (Florentine Codex, 16th century) Napkins
Add a touch of Mesoamerican history to your next gathering with these Tamales Florentine Codex 16th-Century Napkins. Perfect for a festive tamalada, a Day of the Dead celebration, or a dinner party for history buffs, these napkins bridge the gap between ancient culinary traditions and modern hospitality.
Product Description
Serve your guests a side of history with a design sourced directly from the Florentine Codex, a 16th-century ethnographic research project led by friar Bernardino de Sahagún. This specific illustration depicts the preparation and variety of tamales, a staple of the Aztec (Mexica) diet long before the arrival of Europeans. The stylized, pre-Columbian line work captures the indigenous artistry of the Nahua people, showcasing the cultural depth behind one of the world's most beloved comfort foods.
Whether you are hosting a traditional Mexican feast or simply appreciate the "General History of the Things of New Spain," these napkins turn every meal into a conversation piece. They are a unique tribute to the endurance of Mexican gastronomy and the artistic legacy of the indigenous scribes who documented their world for future generations.

product on photo is really beautiful - and expensive too.
item arrived yesterday and was shipped in a box that did not fit the napkin size right - therefore the napkins are all bumpy and creased now - not flat and smooth the way a napkin should lay.
Also the printing is not centered to the napkin and all - and looks very poor.
see images attached.
I am very disappointed - as these were very expensive napkins. printing is not centered to the napkin. - entire glitter square is not straight -- looks awful!!!
see images attached.

Paper Napkins, Standard Cocktail
These napkins were so cute and added a special touch for my granddaughter’s first birthday. We had our cake match these napkins. They arrived with fairly quick shipping. Printing was clean and exactly as pictured.

The cocktail napkins are exactly what I was looking for. The paper is smooth and untextured so there is no element challenging the logo placement. The print color came out perfectly. I was happy to get these and they arrived on time. Friday they will star in a Sweets & Bubbles reception for my art show opening. Perfect printing. The color is vivid and I'm glad I was able to position the logo anywhere I wanted to.
