Tangled Ways Wood Wall Decor

"Be quiet. Why this anxious heed about thy tangled ways? God knows them all, he giveth speed, and He allows delays. " I found this quote tucked among the important papers that my mom told me to take "if anything happened" to her. When she passed these words were a comfort and a blessing...a gift from her to help me as I worked through everything that comes with the loss of a parent (that long list of things you have to do when someone dies that can be so overwhelming when you're grieving). I kept coming back to this whenever it would all start to feel like too much. I looked up the quote and it was published in several volumns in the 1800's, including "Daily Strength for Daily Needs" (compiled by by Mary Wilder Tileston) where it was attributed to an E. W.. According to the Guttenburg project this book is in the public domain. You can find the full poem it was taken from in "A Dictionary of Poetical Illustrations" by Robert Aitkin Bertram (published in 1877), though unfortunately there is not more information about the author there.
