Tarawa, Kiribati Button

This button features the word "Tarawa" and the flag of Kiribati. Tarawa is a small island in the Pacific Ocean that is part of the country of Kiribati. It is significant because it was the site of a major battle during World War II. In November 1943, American forces invaded Tarawa to take control of the island from the Japanese. The battle was incredibly costly, with over 6,000 Japanese and American soldiers killed. The button is a reminder of the sacrifice and courage of the men and women who fought at Tarawa. It is also a symbol of the strength and resilience of the people of Kiribati. The button is a great way to show your support for Kiribati and to honor the memory of those who fought and died for freedom.
