It is made with a special heat sensitive finish, so when it fills with any hot liquid, it changes color and reveals your design on a bright white background. It seems simple, but trust us: your magic cup will always tell you what to talk about. Capacity: 11 ounces or 15 ounces. Dimensions: 11 ounces: 9.7 cm high x 8.1 cm diameter. 15 ounces: 11.4 cm high x 8.6 cm diameter. Made of resistant ceramic. Hand-washing is recommended; the microwave and dishwasher could damage the special heat-sensitive finish that makes the magic effect of the cup work. Our art student kid wanted to get dad something special for Christmas and we thought a morphing mug! Once the Sencha tea leaves art (my husband's fav tea) was completed, we uploaded to Zazzle (easy), and positioned the design (easy). Then got the mug in just a few days! Because we chose the black cup morphing, we noticed that there's a strip of white by the handle. Ideally, we would have liked the entire cup black, but overall, we love it and so did my husband! Would buy again, but maybe use a different background color. Awesome! Our kid's design of Sencha tea leaves turned out fabulous!
