She always insisted having tea with me. Proper tea, she would call it, with an odd little snicker, as if that was the funniest thing she said in a while. She would force me to dress up, the tea was bitter, and there were no cookies, but I drank it anyway just to be polite. Her husband died years ago, and never honestly liked the tea time, so he always sat outside of the table. Still though in her her memories, she always sets him out a glass and places his favorite chair near by.
