Teacher's mug from the famous Upuuzi Academy
Upuuzi Academy, Kokote, Mahali: In early 1940, once they realized that this war wasn’t over by Christmas either, the local white farming community found themselves with a bothersome excess of children, who could not be dispatched off to their British boarding schools in the usual manner. In a building donated by Simba Bartlett (old Rogue’s eldest by his second wife, Muriel, who once shot a leopard off the roof of the servants’ quarters), two ladies of a certain age, and of a decidedly stern colonial character, founded Upuuzi Academy, which flourished post-war, as it was cheap. When the school moved to its present site in 1968, the original building reverted to its original function as a goat-barn.

The mug feels really nice; it's kind of heavy, which I like. It was made, shipped and arrived within eight days of when I completed my order. Two corners of the box were smushed, but that's most likely the fault of the postal service or my little brother, not Zazzle, and the mug itself was perfectly intact. It was a bit dirty when I opened the box but that was expected and easy to clean off. I love it! The photo I added was perfect and everything lined up just as I expected; the only issue I found is that the heart on it turned out closer to off-white, when I was expecting more of a light grey, but other than that it's wonderful.
