Team Frederick II Holy Roman Emperor Button

The last Emperor of the Hohenstaufen dynasty, Frederick II had a reign that featured many disagreements with the Papacy. He is also believed to have had at least nine illegitimate children, as well as marrying four times. He was technically deposed in 1245 but fought back until his death in 1250. His son Conrad was never crowned Holy Roman Emperor despite Frederick naming him as successor.
