Team Napoleon III Emperor of France Button
The last French monarch, Napoleon III was a nephew of the first Emperor Napoleon. After originally becoming President of France in 1848, he was declared King in 1852.
He was captured at the Battle of Sedan in 1870. He was officially removed from power by the National Assembly in 1871 and went in to exile in England with his wife and son, settling at Chislehurst in Kent.
