TePee Curios, Tucumcari, New Mexico Throw Pillow

TePee Curios, Tucumcari, New Mexico Throw Pillow

One of the flashiest neon signs along Route 66 in Tucumcari, New Mexico, is Tepee Curios, which was (often was built in 1944 as a Gulf gas station, grocery, and souvenir shop. When Route 66 was widened in 1959, the tepee entrance was added and the pumps removed. The neon sign arrived during the 1960s. This icon of The Mother Road still attracts a following even after Interstate 40 rerouted much of the traffic from Route 66. On the back of the pillow is The Blue Swallow Motel's neon sign at night on the old Route 66 in Tucumcari. The Blue Swallow Motel has been serving travelers along the Route 66, the Mother Road, since 1939. The motel is a 12-unit L-shaped motel listed on the National Register of Historic Places in New Mexico as a part of historic U.S. Route 66. Original architectural features included a facade with pink stucco walls decorated with shell designs and a stepped parapet, on-site office and manager's residence and garages located between the sleeping units for travelers to park their cars.

Fabric is very nice and of good quality. I like that there are many colors to choose from and you can have a different color on the back side if you choose. The pillow was to be 16" x 16" but ran a bit small. (14.5") Still happy just recommend you get a larger size . Design came out great. Colors were vivid and the overall quality is quite nice. Will definately order again. Highly recommend because it not only shipped super fast but overall I love the results!

I wanted something special for my daughter. I made this for my baby and she will have this in her crib when she is born. It was not pixelated. The picture was very very clear.0

This pillow has a striking design that comes from an original piece of art by artist Debbie Gibbs to celebrate the intersection of identities. It makes a unique gift for anyone wishing to message equality, inclusion, equity and justice. Placed just so in an office or home, it makes a strong statement. We love i on our covered patio/outdoor kitchen. It is holding up very well outside. Outstanding print quality!
