Finalizadas las operaciones de la Guerra de Ifni, en agosto del año 1958 se decidió trasladar dos Tercios de La Legión a tierras saharauis. En aquella época, el sector militar del Sáhara, afectó territorial y administrativamente a la Capitanía General de Canarias, se encontraba dividido en los subsectores Norte y Sur. Así, una de las unidades fue acantonada en El Aaiún dentro del Subsector Norte, tomando la denominación Tercio Sahariano Don Juan de Austria, 3.º de La Legión. Por su parte, la unidad basada en Villacisneros (Subsector Sur), tomó la denominación Tercio Sahariano Alejandro Farnesio, 4.º de La Legión.

My 11 yo wore adult XL (5’7” 165#). The 8yo is small framed. She wore adult small and tied it in the back. Dark haired male wore adult large and 5’9”, 110# female wore adult medium . Good quality dark Heather gray, Gildan brand shirt. -it was next up from basic choice and cost about $20 per shirt. Not too thick or thin. Washed and dried well, no major shrinkage. Not see-through. Can wear a bra under it fine. Screen print is just as shown and well done, front and back.
