The Challenge (Horse Stallions Fighting) Mug
This design features a painting by the American artist Charles M. Russell (1864–1926). It shows two wild horses challenging each other for dominance. The stallions are rearing up as they attempt to attack each other. One of the horses has a dark brown or black coat, while the other horse has a chestnut brown coat. The two horses are fighting in the American Old West, where the desert landscape is dusty and dry. There are many other horses in the backgrounds, including some young foals, further away from the fighting stallions. The original art was painted in 1898.
