About Belt Buckles

Color: Pewter

Wear your self-expression with this custom rectangular belt buckle. Printed in full, vibrant color and finished with a UV resistant and waterproof coating, your image will display beautifully against this burnished silver belt buckle for years to come. This belt buckle arrives in a black felt bag that is perfect for gifting.

Note on wearing of buckle: as is seen in the product photos, from the wearer's perspective, with the buckle facing outwards so that onlookers can see the design, the belt loop that attaches to the belt is on the right side of the buckle. This means that in order to keep a design right-side-up, the belt will need to be worn around the waist with the belt threaded starting from the right side of the body, which is typically how women's belts are worn. Men's belts are typically worn threaded around the waist staring on the left-hand side (again from the wearer's perspective, with the buckle facing outwards), so please keep this in mind with designing or purchasing a belt buckle.

  • Made in the USA.
  • UV Resistant and waterproof.

The Circle of Stars, American Flag by Betsy Ross Belt Buckle

The Circle of Stars, American Flag by Betsy Ross Belt Buckle

The Circle of Stars: The year was 1776, and the colonies were on the verge of declaring their independence from Great Britain. A committee was formed to design a flag that would represent the new nation, and they sought the help of a skilled seamstress named Betsy Ross. - Ross was known for her patriotism and her talent for needlework, and she was eager to contribute to the cause of liberty. The committee presented her with their initial design, which featured six pointed stars arranged in a straight line on a blue field. - Ross, however, had some suggestions. She proposed that the stars be changed to five points, as they were easier to sew and more aesthetically pleasing. She also suggested that the stars be arranged in a circle, rather than a straight line, to symbolize the unity and equality of the colonies. - The committee was impressed with Ross's ideas, and they agreed to her suggestions. Ross set to work, carefully sewing the new flag with its thirteen alternating red and white stripes and thirteen white stars arranged in a circle on a blue field. - When the flag was finished, Ross presented it to the committee, who were delighted with the result. They immediately recognized the power and symbolism of the new design. - The circle of stars, Ross explained, represented the perpetual union of the colonies, bound together in a circle of friendship and mutual support. The thirteen stars and stripes stood for the thirteen original colonies, each one equal and united in the pursuit of liberty. - The committee was so impressed with Ross's design that they immediately adopted it as the official flag of the United States. And so, the Betsy Ross flag, with its circle of stars, became a powerful symbol of American patriotism and unity, representing the enduring bond between the colonies and the promise of a new nation. - the copyright holder "DevinCook" of this work, release this version of Betsy Ross Flag into the public domain. I'd lost my old Yudansha buckle with the sakura given to me when I earned my black belt in 1955. So, I saw this one with the Kanji on a white background and went for it. The design with the two characters, yawara [juu] and michi [doo] are finely drawn with a classic hand in a tight calligraphy. It's a delightful rendition with no added ornamentation and beautiful in its simplicity

I gave this as a Christmas gift to a very good friend who like me is a Libra. The belt buckle was an excellent size, not too big, clunky or heavy. Light and attractive. Printing was good and seems durable.
