The Crystal Ball Dry-Erase Board

On a dusty wooden table sits a spherical glowing object on a stand. It's a crystal ball, and it's interior is activated and filling with the fogs of mystery. Nothing can be "seen" yet, as the mists must first clear, but the reflections of it's surroundings are visible in the polished surface, including the red rose visible in the foreground. Why that is there is a mystery too. Maybe it's to be used for a focal point, to aid the concentration. Behind the ball sits a partially melted candle, unlit. But that's not to say that the room is without light. This is a ceiling held light-source just out of view and the crystal ball, too, sheds it's own light on the setting, creating a duality of shadows and lights.
