    About This Design

The Dance Class, Edgar Degas Mouse Pad

The Dance Class, Edgar Degas Mouse Pad

Edgar Degas (19 July 1834 – 27 September 1917) was a French artist famous for his pastel drawings and oil paintings of ballerinas. Degas also produced bronze sculptures, prints, and drawings. Degas is especially identified with the subject of dance; more than half of his works depict dancers. Although Degas is regarded as one of the founders of Impressionism, he rejected the term, preferring to be called a realist, and did not paint outdoors as many Impressionists did. Degas was a superb draftsman, and particularly masterly in depicting movement, as can be seen in his rendition of dancers and bathing female nudes. In addition to ballet dancers and bathing women, Degas painted race horses and racing jockeys, as well as portraits. His portraits are notable for their psychological complexity and for their portrayal of human isolation. At the beginning of his career, Degas wanted to be a history painter, a calling for which he was well prepared by his rigorous academic training and close study of classical art. In his early thirties, he changed course, and by bringing the traditional methods of a history painter to bear on contemporary subject matter, he became a classical painter of modern life. I Absolutely LOVE this mouse pad! It's even better than I expected! The picture I used is about 55 years old and the quality is amazing! My mom passed away Thanksgiving 3 years ago and this is just such a beautiful picture of her with us. I ordered one for each of my sisters for Christmas and I can't wait to give it to them. I love Zazzle! Everything I have received is top notch! Thank you for helping me keep this memory alive. I am completely satisfied with the print quality and the overall image. It turned out better than i could imagined!

It was time for a new mouse pad and being that I am at the computer so much, I wanted something pleasing to look at. I was completely floored when I received this one from Zazzle. The quality is great, and at such a great price! I paid a little over $15.00 - and with it being a custom photo??? - can't beat that! The photo of my pup was even better than the original that I took with my iphone - no special zoom camera. I wasn't sure if it would maintain quality when being blown up for the mouse pad size but WOW - the colors are vibrant, and it actually looks like my sweet pup is actually looking at me...... so so so so very happy with the result!
