The Flying Scotsman - Watch
Back in 1988, as part of Australia's Bicentenary celebrations, a large steam festival was held in Melbourne. 'The Flying Scotsman' engine from the UK was shipped across as a special guest and I was privileged to see it fly past on one of its journeys through the suburbs of Melbourne. I drew the engine in pen and ink back in 2002. I hope it evokes memories of the grace and elegance of a bygone age - a time when function and beauty embraced.
