THE LION OF ENGLAND COIN---The Lion is shown standing on his rear legs roaring into the air. His crowned head is thrown back in a ferocious show of strength. The lion holds a shield bearing Royal Coat of Arms adopted by Queen Victoria in the year 1837. The obverse of the coin features Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. The designer of the coin is the Royal Mint's Jody Clark.
