The Mona Lisa by Leonardo Da Vinci is a half-length portrait of a woman which has been acclaimed as "the best known,the most visited,the most written about,the most sung about,the most parodied work of art in the world"
The painting,thought to be a portrait of Lisa Gherardini,the wife of Francesco del Giocondo,is in oil on a white Lombardy poplar panel,and is believed to have been painted between 1503 and 1506.
Leonardo may have continued working on it as late as 1517.It was acquired by King Francis I of France and is now the property of the French Republic, on permanent display at the Louvre Museum in Parissince.
About 6 million people view the painting each year and in practice it is by far the most valued painting in the world.

I only have one complaint. I ordered the watch with clear case and strap, and what was sent was white case and strap. I'm going to keep it because 1) it looks very nice in white, and 2) it would take too long to get a replacement made and sent in time for my occasion. Aside from the mix up with the color, the watch does look very good in white. The purple dial is actually sparkly which did not show in the online images. That was a nice surprise. If you like Swatch watches this is very similar to those. It's 33.6mm in diameter, 10.5mm thick, and 40.6mm lug to lug. Stainless steel case back says 3ATM/30m WR, so no swimming or showering or submerging this one. If you like Woodstock, this is a great choice.

I was pleasantly surprised by the good quality of this watch. It's an easy size to wear on a small wrist and both the band and the watch are well made. I also liked the translucent case the watch is packaged in. The printing is crisp and clear and shows off my Create With Photos oyster flower design well.
