The Port of Saint-Tropez (South of France) Coffee Mug

This design features a painting by the French Neo-Impressionist artist Maximilien Luce (1858–1941). It shows a view of the French port city of Saint-Tropez, which is situated on the French Riviera, around 42 miles west of Nice and 62 miles east of Marseille; it is in the Var department of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, Southern France. Saint-Tropez was a military stronghold and fishing village until the beginning of the 20th century. After the war, it became an internationally known seaside resort, visited by fashionable European and American tourists. In this painting, a wooden yacht can be seen moored in the harbor. The original painting was produced by Maximilien Luce in 1893.
