The Shard, London Magnet

The Shard is one of London's newest landmarks. Standing close to London Bridge it is currently the tallest building in London. There is a public viewing gallery, which affords spectacular views across the city and for many miles distant, hence it is fast becoming one of the most popular attractions for visitors and locals alike. This telephoto shot was taken from Hampstead Heath many miles away emphasizing who impressive it is. It towers over the dome of St Paul's Cathedral in the foreground and the glass facades have taken on a blue tint reflecting the clear sky.
