THE STAR GUARDIAN Motivational Poster

A poem written especially for this motivational piece, pays tribute both to the great Haida First Nations people of British Columbia, Canada and also to the fact that the famous Queen Charlotte islands of that region have now been correctly renamed as Haida Gwaii. THE STAR GUARDIAN The song of Haida Gwaii weaves the star-spun fabric of night above my head. An ancient Cedar time-warrior holds counsel with the Heavens and sees me safely home from my dreams. ~ Skye Ryan-Evans (copyrighted) ~ This inspiring mystical scene depicts an ancient Totem-Pole standing vigil beneath a star-struck sky, as a First Nations "believer" rests safely in bed. Another version with the poem but without the motivational "Believe" label is also available as is the poster minus the poem, upon request. Totem Poles were erected in Haida villages as guardians of great houses, families and even entire villages. They gave a sense of security to local people and also communicated the values and animals most revered by the people for whom the pole was carved. 25% of proceeds from the sale of this art print is donated directly to Defenders of Wildlife here in North America\Canada.
