An oil painting by the great Dutch painter Vincent Van Gogh(1853-1890)Considered by some to be his most famous piece of art,Van Gogh painted 'The Starry Night' in 1889 from memory while living in an asylum in France where he had checked himself in for depression.The scene depicts the view from his bedroom window.
