This is the Land of Promise Button

America is called the land of promise, and politicians often turn it into the land of promises. We don’t know why they do it. We all know that even things politicians say they will do and truly want to do often they can’t. So, why do they promise? Maybe it is a pathological compulsion. Maybe they rely on our gullibility to believe. In any case, after the votes are counted, and the victor has taken his place, maybe to them it doesn’t matter any more.
